It's not Oktoberfest until someone screams "O'zapft is!"
Pittsburgh's signature Oktoberfest kicks off Thursday, September 18th with a traditional Munich-style firkin-keg tapping with music by the Polkamaniacs! Your VIP ticket to the tapping includes a commemorative glass stein, a full stein fill, $15 in Ofest bucks towards a buffet meal featuring both German and Pittsburgh favorites as prepared by our chef, and a 5oz Pilsner Glass filled with a just-tapped specialty maple-bourbon cave beer. This is also your first chance to swing by and pickup
all the new merch for 2025 before it sells out. General Admission to event is free.
Penn's owner Stefan Nitsch, who hails originally from Austria, felt compelled to bring the event to Pittsburgh: “I grew up surrounded by traditions such as this and it is my honor to bring this firkin-tapping to the people of Pittsburgh. This event really charges things up in a new way with the kickoff ceremony I always felt belonged at every Oktoberfest.”

If you do wish to drive, however, parking will be available at Provident Charter School at the top of Troy Hill Road the Friday and Saturday evenings of Oktoberfest. Guests may also park in the lots of the office building at 801 Vinial Street, directly across Vinial St. from the Brewery's neon archway, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Oktoberfest never requires an advanced ticket purchase or cover charge. VIP Packages are available for those who want guaranteed seating & other amenities.
Children
Children are always allowed to attend Oktoberfest during the day/evening. However, after 8pm patrons must be 21 & over. Complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides O'Fest Sundays.
Merch
We will be selling Oktoberfest t-shirts, hats, and other accessories. Check out the tent at the lower Parking Garage Deck.
Cash & credit
Some outside bars and food lines will accept credit cards during Oktoberfest. However we recommend bringing cash, and we will have ATMs on site for your convenience.
